So I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that for my birthday this past year I made a Google doc and shared it with Bill. This document was titled “Potential gifts for Susie”. We had been long distance the past few years before that birthday so we hadn’t really done anything crazy for Christmas, anniversary or birthday gifts so I figured I would give it a try and make a list. Boy did it work! Thanks again Bill, I still love them!
Well I guess I wasn’t too embarrassed because for Christmas this year all I’m doing is updating my system of where I share my wishlist from. Desire List is is going to be my best friend, I have a good feeling about it. Probably also Bills nightmare….
Desire List is a website where you can easily sign up for your own account and make desire lists, organized by whatever you want them to be. What I mean is you don’t have to organize it by clothes, shoes, accessories but instead you can make it as specific as you want such as “Dream Workout Clothes”. I might actually make that list thinking about it!
To create a list you first make a profile and then when you’re on your dashboard you click “create list” and name your list whatever you would like.
From there you click “add desire” on the top right of your dashboard. You just copy and paste the link from your product of choice, put in the cost of the product and a description if you want and then click “add desire”.
Easy peasy! Even easier, you can add the Desire List browser button so whenever you’re shopping you can just click the browser and add it right to a list!
My first list I made is you guessed it, Present Suggestions. As I get older I find myself going farther away from trendy pieces and becoming a lot more interested in investment pieces. This is a good thing as well as a bad thing. Good because I put a lot more thought into my purchases and my clutter is minimized significantly. It could be seen as a not good thing though because investment pieces are called an investment for a reason, they’re pricy and take a while to save for. The great thing though about your lists is that they’re there to stay so you can continue to add pieces to your list and take things off once you save enough to get them!
So do you think you’ll sign up to make your own lists?!
