When we were in Barcelona we went to a lot of bars but this was by far our favorite rooftop bar!

Before Bill and I went to Barcelona we asked friends and family for recommendations. One that we heard a few times was to get a drink at sunset at the Mandarin Oriental rooftop bar, or the Terrat as they call it. It did not disappoint! One word of advice- if you aren’t staying at the hotel, make sure to get there a bit on the earlier side because there are only certain tables non-guests can sit at. Which makes sense if you’re staying at the hotel you should be able to watch the sunset from the best seat in the house.
We were there in September and I believe we went over to the hotel around 6pm or so. We just sat and had a glass of wine (or two) and waited for the sunset. You can look up the time of the sunset before you go and plan to be there at least an hour in advance.
The drinks were a bit pricier than the other places we went, which was to be expected, but so worth it. It was honestly just so pretty and relaxing up there, and the view really was stunning. From the front you could look out and see the beautiful buildings and you could even see the ocean if you looked to the left. Who doesn’t love a water view? We really enjoyed just looking out over the street.
From the back you could look out and see as far as the Sagrada Familia! The rooftop itself was also very beautiful, as you can see from some of the photos. There were a bunch of tables and lounge chairs to relax in and a pretty little pool. Then, the main highlight was the sunset of course, which could be seen from every spot at the rooftop bar.
Some of these photos were taken as we walked around Barcelona but I think you can still get a great idea about the rooftop from the rest!
PS- If you’re in Barcelona make sure to go to this beautiful park as well!
