As I mentioned in this post, I’ve been a bit behind with posting. These photos were taken the weekend of November 5th and the story behind them is a special one. On that Saturday Bill and I drove out to the Long Island Aquarium, where we got married, for our final venue appointment. It was both exciting and terrifying at the same time. Exciting for all of the obvious reasons but at this point I was feeling all of the wedding stress and worried that there would be things that would go wrong. I know these are natural feelings but at this point my whole body was feeling the stress and finalizing with the venue was the last thing we really had to do.
Obviously the appointment went great and the entire wedding was amazing so no need to worry about that! But I just could not get my body to relax leading up the wedding. I just felt on edge and anxious, but also so excited. It was the oddest combination of feelings honestly. While driving back home Bill and I passed one of the vineyards we went to on my bachlorette party and decided what the heck lets stop for a tasting. The vineyard is called Baiting Hollow Farm and for being one of the more “party” vineyards it felt like the most relaxing place in the world that day.
We spent the afternoon in the back of the vineyard looking at all of the rescue horses and sitting on the front porch of the tasting house alone. Somehow we got lucky and there wasn’t a single other person on the porch that day. I drank a glass of wine while Bill drank the seasonal pumpkin beer and I can honestly say it was perfect. For the first time in a month I felt like I could breathe and we were able to have this amazing little moment just the two of us. After that my excitement for the wedding really started to kick in, so I will forever be grateful for that special moment at the vineyard.
Now for the real reason you all came here today, the outfit. This dress is amazing. It is the softest material, it felt like I was wearing PJ’s all day. Which speaking of, Bill and I just got these matching buffalo print pajama pants for a Christmas party we’re going to. I’m really excited to also wear them on our first Christmas this year too! Back to the dress, the best part, it’s only $37! How great of a price is that? Plus all my tall girls out there, the sleeves are really long, much longer than most dresses that you find at good prices. Plus, the length is long enough to make it conservative enough for work! I think it would also be adorable with ankle booties!
Okay time to go, Bill and I are watching Room with Brie Larson. It is soo good so I’m going to go pay attention. Happy Monday all!
