This summer Bill and I are determined to explore more areas of Manhattan. Why live in such an iconic city if you’re only going to stick to your same neighborhood?
A few weekends back we ventured to Battery Park because we were told Pier A has beautiful sunsets, which if you follow me on Instagram you already saw! Not only did the sunset truly live up to our expectation but Pier A was also a really fun place! If you live in NYC or are just visiting for a weekend and are looking for a place that is a good time, on the water, serves food, and has an amazing view, this is your spot!
If you aren’t interested in dinner or drinking but still want the views, Battery Park is worth a trip on its own. Bill and I just walked around for a bit and took these photos but it seemed that there was a lot going on. This is also where the tours for the Statue of Liberty leave from, which if you look REALLY hard you can find her in the back of some of these photos ha! I’m embarrassed to say that even though I’ve lived in New York my whole life I have yet to make it there but hopefully soon!
This dress is my new favorite. Reasons why: the price, the colors, gingham, comfortable and the lace hemline. I think that just about sums it all up! But in all seriousness I am just floored at the quality of this Target gingham dress. This dress and another one I bought, have been on heavy rotation this summer and each and every time I wear them I get a ton of compliments. I know that’s not why you should purchase something but it sure doesn’t hurt! Plus, the price! Both dresses were under $50, which really cannot be beat.
The yellow belt didn’t come with it, I just personally feel that with my shape I cannot wear shift dresses unless there is some sort of waist cinching. Otherwise I instantly look 10lbs heavier than I actually am. I love when I can get my outfit to work with converses or other comfortable shoes. It makes it 1000x easier to get around the city that way. My car to door shoes just won’t cut it for a day of exploring!
