This past weekend was such a nice one. Saturday Bill came with me to an event at Dagne Dover. Their bags are amazing. I still keep thinking about the Charlie and the Simone. What makes both bags so cool is how functional they are. Not only do they fit my macbook but they just have SO many compartments to keep you so organized, which is what I really need. I think my decision will ultimately come down to if I want a much bigger bag that will be the perfect carry on (the Charlie) or if I want it to look more like a purse (the Simone). But I shall keep you updated! For now I went with the Lola Pouch in small because it is the perfect size to organize things in my bigger bags that I already own.
After the event we went and celebrated our one month married anniversary a few days early with dinner at La Mela. Holy wow it was so delicious. We got the tomato and mozzarella appetizer and then for our entree we split the veal parm and penne vodka. You know when you just knowwww it’s homemade pasta? It was delightful! If you’re ever on the LES head over to Mulberry for the best Italian food. Yes it’s a bit crowded in that area but it’s so so worth it. YUM!
Now onto the outfit. This drapey front leather jacket is a dream. I have a black leather jacket but I find this gray one to be so much more versatile. Plus it’s a little softer, a little more feminine, which is sometimes a nice change to darker colors. I’m wearing it with just a simple white tee here but it is also gorgeous with pale pink.
I hesitated to join the choker trend because I honestly just didn’t love them but this maroon one is a fun twist on traditional holiday jewelry. I’m thinking for Christmas eve to wear it with this new olive top I bought at Nordstrom. Plus for only $20 it is also the perfect gift!
