Oh boy was it cold in NYC this past weekend. This was just the beginning of the snow on Saturday, I swear it just kept coming down all day! Then, not only was it super snowy but the temperatures felt like it was in the teens. Super windy and chilly! But that didn’t hold us back from leaving the apartment on Saturday!
Saturday we met my parents and sister for a casual dinner at Jack Doyle’s and then went to the Professional Bull Riding event at MSG. If you’re going to an event at MSG Jack Doyle’s is nice because it’s only a block away, it’s huge so you’re bound to get seats, and I found the food to be quite delicious. I got the spinach truffle pizza and loved it!
We went to the Professional Bull riding even a few years ago and had so much fun we decided to go back again! It’s such a cool experience since it’s so different than things we normally do in NYC. If you’re around next year and they’re doing it again you should go, it’s fun!
So I clearly did not wear this outfit to the event, I would have stuck out like a sore thumb in the crowd of jeans! I wish I could have though because this dress is darn cozy. Sweater dresses are a winter gift because you look dressed up while still keeping warm. Plus they tend to be super forgiving if ya know what I mean. This color is also amazing and so flattering. If you’re not into maroon it also does come in black too!
I love the look of sweater dresses with OTK boots, I just find it so sexy! You’re taking an otherwise pretty shapeless dress and kicking it up a notch, while still being fully covered! OTK boots are a nice alternative to having to wear tights all winter, which gets old pretty fast. These boots in particular are Steve Madden and only $100, which is about $700 less than the Stuart Weitzman boots that they look just like. Holla!
How did you spend your snowy weekend?
