The new year always get me so excited. I’m a big believer in new beginnings and setting goals, so what better time than at the start of the year? This year though, I want to be realistic. In the past I felt like I set too many extreme goals and then just gave up on them.
Overall my New Years resolution for 2018 is to just feel better emotionally and physically. Truth be told I already started on this goal in 2017, but in 2018 I want to really commit to it. By making my resolution just an overall goal, I think it will be SO much easier for me to accomplish it.
In years past I would make strict resolutions like lose 10lbs or only spend x amount of money. But then I would stray from the goal and would feel like crap, which definitely did not help me to feel good emotionally.
There are a ton of things I would like to work on, such as working out to feel and look better, eating healthier, continuing to work on our finances, traveling, working on the blog more, growing at my 9-5 job, getting even more organized than we were in 2017, etc. However, I don’t want to make it all into a chore. So instead of setting strict goals, I’m just going to ask myself each day “will doing blank make me feel good emotionally or physically?’ and if not, then it isn’t right for me.
A little progress each day is all I’m aiming for, and if I can keep that up I know 2018 will help me to become the best version of myself!
